I really hope there is a Netflix series on this championship.
World champion at just 18 years! Congratulations Gukesh 🇮🇳.. Happiest I have felt since we won the 2011 world cup. Dreams indeed do come true!
We lost a great visionary. RIP Shri Ratan Tata.
Shri Ratan Tata Ji was a visionary business leader, a compassionate soul and an extraordinary human being. He provided stable leadership to one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses. At the same time, his contribution went far beyond the boardroom. He endeared…
A very impressive double gold achievement by India. "Vishy's children" are all grown up and chess is coming home! Two American flags on the podiums as well, worthy of note. Add Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, with no European flags.
Congratulations to the winners and medalists of the 45th FIDE Chess Olympiad! We are thrilled to see so many Grand Chess Tour participants among them!😉 #chessolympiad Photos by Maria Emelianova, @FIDE_chess
Wrapping up the Olympiad recaps and nothing but praise for both of India's teams dominating the event. @vishy64theking's legacy is secured! youtu.be/OkJdaw46jeo
100 percent! Forget India inventing Chess or not. Vishy was India's first GM and chess was probably just a timepass game here before Vishy came along. To becoming multiple time world champion and now inspiring this generation - GOAT Indian sportsperson for sure.
It is truly unfathomable how this kid would come from a country with no chess culture and not only become World Champion, but inspire generations of Indian kids to push chess forward. The legend, @vishy64theking! Huge congratulations to India for winning the @ChessOlympiad!
What a time to be alive if you are a fan of Indian chess! Two players rated 2790+ 🤯.. While Gukesh is destined for greatness, Arjun can possibly become 2800+ if he wins tomorrow. Hopefully our women can also win the Olympiad Gold tomorrow.
Wow.. Endrick scored at Bernabeu before you know who!
In Final: Abhay beat defending Champion Velavan Senthilkumar 3-2. Anahat beat Akanksha Salunkhe 3-2.
Ouch. This is so unfair. And totally not the right time. If we have fallen short, everyone has to do more, especially the federations and the government.
Prakash Padukone, “Government and Federations have done their job. Players need to take responsibility and ask if they are doing enough. Same players have beaten these opponents in other tournaments. In Olympics we aren’t able to deliver”. Lamenting @lakshya_sen loss.…
No medals in Badminton, a bitter pill to swallow. The story of this Olympics is going to be these countless 4th place finishes.
Another heartbreak. A little bit of luck and it could have been Gold. Ends 4th.
BREAKING: Heartbreak for Manu Bhaker | Finishes at 4th spot 💔💔💔
Was expecting a Gold here 😔
𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐤 & 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐠 𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 💔💔💔 They went down fighting to former World Champions Aaron Chia & Soh Wooi Yik 21-13, 14-21, 16-21 in Pre-QF. #Badminton #Paris2024 #Paris2024withIAS
This could have, should have been India. Anyways, atleast we have opened our accounts today.
Mexico wins the first Archery Medal They won the Bronze Medal defeating Netherlands 6-2 in the BMM #Paris2024 #Archery #Olympics
First medal! Manu Bhaker- Shooting! Amazing!! Who would have thought after the dismal 2020 Olympics in Shooting.
Wow, this is some stat!
Since May 2001, Spanish teams have played in 27 major finals (Champions League, Europa League, World Cup, Euros). There has been a Spanish winner in all 27 finals.
Comments on this post 😱.. There is no room for a civilized debate on any topic anymore.
"Gavaskar was only doing his job when he had his say on Kohli’s strike rate. But, even setting that aside, Kohli and friends would do well to realise that they are not the first generation to play cricket for India. Without Gavaskar, and all the players who came before him, there…
