Unregulated contaminants have been found in the tap water of tens of millions of Americans in the past decade, but the EPA hasn’t yet regulated them. Why has there been so little movement on these emerging threats? Here’s what I found for @propublica propublica.org/article/epa-sa…
NEW: Trump Media recently outsourced jobs to Mexico 🇲🇽 -even as Trump publicly promised to “stop outsourcing” and “punish” companies that send jobs abroad. The move caused outrage inside his company, seen as betrayal of his stated “America First” ideals. propublica.org/article/donald…
More than 100 Texas OB/GYNs sign letter calling on the #txlege to change the state’s abortion ban following @propublica’s reporting on Josseli Barnica and Nevaeh Crain’s death after hospitals delayed treating their miscarriages

We didn't want it to come to this, but the @law360union is on a ULP strike, indefinitely. We will not accept a contract that does not properly reflect our value to @Law360 and @LexisNexis 🧵👇
By a vote of 524-28, 95% of our members have just authorized a strike. As we head into the final weeks of this Election season, and on this important Debate day, we want the @nytimes to hear us: We are ready to do whatever it takes to get to a fair deal.
TIME’S UP @Law360 and @LexisNexis: We’ve offered you plenty of opportunities to reach a fair contract and remedy your unlawful practices at the table but tonight, just after midnight, we will walk off the job on an open-ended ULP strike.
Fellow lawyers: honor the @law360union picket line! Please share widely so that we get the word out.
It’s official! @law360union is on a ULP strike. Law360 and LexisNexis chose corporate greed over the health & security of workers and over their own subscribers. We’re out until the company agrees to a contract we will ratify. Learn more at law360guild.org
STRIKE ALERT, @law360 and @LexisNexis: We have been saying for months that we were strike-ready. Today we’re proving it. We are on a ULP strike. Read more here. #verdictisin #Law360Strike
My NFL week 1 overreaction is that the Pats would’ve gone to the playoffs last year with Jacoby Brissett. Excited for the @BillSimmons TikTok segment on this

New: Leaders of @Nike have made clear that climate change is a crisis. Yet they have not shrunk one aspect of Nike’s carbon footprint they directly influence: travel on 🛩️🛩️. W/ @agnel88_philip @Amierjeski @matthewkish. propublica.org/article/nike-c…
Some friction between unions & employers is to be expected. You expect to have to fight to win some things. I didn’t expect the application of Weingarten (a given at almost every unionized workplace) to be one. Hopefully we’ve put this bizarre & sad disagreement behind us
Troubling behavior by ProPublica management. Due process is a cornerstone of any collective bargaining agreement. ProPublica is not magically different from other employers, nor is it exempt from its obligations to afford Weingarten representation under federal law.
Fighting on Weingarten rights???? Sheesh. newsguild.org/union-member-r…
We launched our union for a fairer and more transparent workplace, protections for our staff and a seat at the table. One year in, here’s what we’ve accomplished — and where @ProPublica's management is fighting us. propublicaguild.org/updates/progre…
We launched our union one year ago for a fairer and more transparent workplace, protections for our staff and a seat at the table. We’ve submitted more than 20 proposals to management. Just two have been agreed to. Here's where things stand. 👇 propublicaguild.org/updates/progre…
Happy birthday, @ProPublicaGuild! I'm proud of our union's dedication to ensuring we live up to our values as a public service newsroom, including by winning recognition for a wall-to-wall unit and continuing to advocate for a contract with core protections like just cause.
I love working at ProPublica and look forward to working here once we have a contract in place

I'm immensely proud of the union we formed a year ago at ProPublica. It's been harder than we expected to settle on a contract that is just and creates a fair workplace for us all, but I am inspired everyday by my colleagues as we stand together to push for one.

I joined our union’s bargaining team because I wanted to be part of creating a better ProPublica. Unfortunately, management has made that process difficult, fighting us on even the most basic proposals. This is not where we should be a year in.
