BOOM! @roll_ai is coming out of stealth and ushering a new era of content creation where you can create Oprah-level content with your iPhone. We cant wait to see content creators use it to tell amazing stories. And businesses don't have to spend $$$ for high quality production.

This is the moment to come together as a society to address climate change for our kids’ kids’ kids.

Great point - so many companies and founders make the mistake of staying in stealth because they want to wait for that chatGPT moment - the opportunity cost is they never learn from customers and basically close the door of pivoting.

99% of your users will come after your launch. You have to grind for most of them and be prepared for lucky events later. None of which is possible if you’re stealth and overthinking it. So, you may as well ship as fast as possible and get that going asap.

The odds of unicorn at YC are literally 2X higher for any company deciding to stay in the Bay Area (jumps from 5% to 10%) It’s the high order bit: who are you surrounded by? If you want to optimize for best possible outcome you maximize your chance of luck by being in SF Bay

This surprised me: There have only been TWO venture-backed outcomes >$10B in New York since the 90s (Datadog, MongoDB). During that time there have been THREE >$1T outcomes in the Bay Area (NVIDIA, Google, Meta), and an uncountable # of $10B+ outcomes.

How can they just pass laws like this without any debate and understanding broader perspectives? Who gave them the moral authority to do this?

This is the final straw. Because of this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies, SpaceX will now move its HQ from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas.

So the state is the parent in California now @GavinNewsom?

Gavin Newsom signed AB1955 today which bans schools from making rules requiring parental notification if a child identifies as transgender. Get your kids out of public schools.

The main lesson in software is to go after markets that are artificially constrained by bad tech. When you build something far simpler or more integrated than was offered before, you will invariably expand the market size by an order of magnitude.

Resilience matters in success for everyone. Equally applies to a fresh Stanford grad as it applies to an executive in a public company.

Nvidia CEO: people with really high expectations have very low resilience
