Saw first hand how much work Eileen (my mother) and the team put into this vital project to improve the outcomes for women and babies; couldn't be more proud and inspired! Well done mum! ❤

We're celebrating winning a national #patientsafety prize for our midwife training using real baby heart sounds to improve safety in labour. The collaboration won the innovation of the year category at the #HSJpatientsafety @HSJ_Awards oxfordahsn.org/news-and-event…

A brilliant last session at the #rcmconf2019 with @Yanarichens and @roise_anne on #fearofbirth and results of an evaluation of the FoB clinic at @uclh showing a significant reduction in fear after midwife counselling and huge reduction in elective Caesarian sections! @MidwivesRCM

Thank you so much! I hope to continue the research soon so may be back in future 💖

You'll be a wonderful doctor, good luck with the rest of your training. Really interesting talk. FOB such an important topic #rcmconf19

What action can you take ? To help reduce the inequalities for BAME women in England and have the same chance of a positive outcome as a white British counterpart - propionate universalism at the scale and intensity of the need! @dunkleybent @Yanarichens #rcmconf19 @NHSEngland

Thanks @Yanarichens & @roise_anne for discussing fear of birth & supporting the role of students. Love your quote: “We are not the birth Police!” The role of the midwife is to provide evidence based information to enable & empower women to make informed choice #rcmconf19 #CHOICE

Hi @getadrip can you please explain the clinically proven benefits of your £250 "Fertility Drip" at @westfieldlondon? Or is this just an attempt to prey on women's desperation with the kind of unproven "add-ons" the @HFEA has cautioned IVF clinics against? Via @thomasdolphin

This is so important. Flour fortification with #folicacid is a simple measure which has been shown in other countries to cut the rate of neural tube defects like spina bifida. The UK has one of the highest rates of NTDs in Europe. So the only real Q is why has this taken so long?

I was on the contraceptive pill when I found I was 13 weeks pregnant. I still menstrated as usual. 12 weeks would have been too late for me. I did keep my baby, they are 18 in a few weeks. I'm so very proud of them. That was my choice though. Its a choice that shouldnt be removed
