My Interview with @ukpenguin for the Digital Health Hacker's Podcast is now out! In healthcare, it's essential to "Treat Data as a first-class citizen instead of as an afterthought" if you want the data to outlast the applications. Watch the full talk at youtu.be/rA9ttNV2SmA
No response so I'll have to stick to @Uber
@FreeNow_UK the app tells me 'none of my payment methods are available now' have added multiple valid cards with no joy. Where do I get help
As you all know I'm not one for being overly critical of drivel. But I'm going to make an exception and challenge every inaccuracy in this (well-meaning) article. (thread) theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
Is this London’s most dangerous junction for cyclists? Campaign group maps out notorious junctions “that most need fixing” across the capital – and accuses authorities of being “shamefully slow and partial in dealing with this key road danger” road.cc/304943 #cycling
Preparing for @phcsg conference and thinking I should have had a batman to iron my cummerbund. Also worried that @OneCherylCowley won't stop at services on M6 so I can have a wee.
Urgent - the Palantir NHS data deal is a huge threat to the NHS, but it still hasn’t been signed, and there are reports that the government is now wavering. This is our chance to get it dropped - sign the petition to the health minister now: foxglove.org.uk/campaigns/pala…
For me #openEHR is key to standardise healthcare data. Vendor & technology neutral governed by clinicians co-created with informaticians & software engineers. No doubt to me as a full time practicing clinician in the #NHS is the answer to #semantic #Interoperability
The app that promised an NHS ‘revolution’ and then went down in flames. When clinicians express scepticism about the short term promise of new technologies, please listen to them. They’re usually right. thetimes.co.uk/article/5bfe61…
A typical patient wants five things; Get in, Get diagnosed, Get fixed up, Get out, Get on with their lives. myemail.constantcontact.com/What-matters.h…
Tory govt is giving our private medical NHS data to an American former spy-company Palantir.... Owned by Peter Thiel who is a Donald Trump financial donor Minister refuses to say if our most personal data can then be sold on Read this thread for the full horror of it all.…
107/. "You called patient data an untapped resource. I asked Alex Karp if Palantir would ever be in a position to sell on this data & he said it would be down to you. Would you sell on patient data?" MINISTER "I’m not going to get into some hypothetical"
Great turn out for first session at Digital Health #aidata23 keynote session with Dr Claire Bloomfield NHSE and Dr Richard Scott Genomics England
I'm at #AIDATA23 today if anyone wants to catch up. Looks like a great avent, shame I'm only here today
A vast amount of NHS resource is lost because of crap IT as @woodcotealison will confirm
What am I doing this morning as gynaecology consultant on call? Teaching? Reviewing A&G requests? Seeing patients? Nope. Ward round then half an hour of IT fixing, including replacing my own keyboard. Medical school then 17 years of training/experience. Make it make sense 🤦🏽♀️
We’re trying to get as many followers as Rishi Sunak so we can show the government just how many people are prepared to fight for the NHS and its staff. Please can you help by following us and retweeting this?
We agree with every word of this. Please RT if you do too.
@NSPCC banning encryption and eliminating privacy in online communication will bequeath children a censorious and totalitarian state. More harm to children will flow from Online Safety Bill and its broad, illconsidered, and technologically illiterate attack on private messaging.
Murdoch press. has done more damage to Britain than the Nazis ever did. Destroying England’s legendary sense of community, putting neighbour v neighbour, hacking phones, ruining people’s lives. Now, going after someone on a cookery program just because he disagreed with Brexit…
