we are now off to South Africa for a few weeks - will try to find a few Beyer-Garratts - watch this space........
Ended at Magotsfield - not much left of this previously major station - now on the Bristol/Bath cycle path - try to find it!!
Finally we returned to Warmley - quite well preserved station - and it has an excellent tea shop....
then on to a real gem - if in the area do visit the Coleford Railway Museum - lots to see - and Mike is remarkably friendly.....
From Whitecroft on to Park End - current terminus of the Forest of Dean line.....
Onward from Norchard - trying to avoid road works - next stop - Whitecroft
First called in on Forest of Dean - some unusual shots.......
You wait for ages for photos from @WhichLoco then you get two lots at once - sorry - but spent yesterday with brother-in-law doing a quick tour of local sites - just knew you would love to see them.....
That's the end of first of new style tweets - let us know what you think - and don't forget prizes for any interesting facts on photos!!
Still at Mandas - if you ignore the station and the goods shed you will find these giants gently rusting away into a well deserved retirement.....
Leaving the capital and heading North into Sardinia countryside you get to Mandas - still operating the "green train".......
But whilst at Monserrato depot - if you persist - you can find closed museum - what a delight.....
Next stop - still in/near Cagliari - Monserrato depot - still working - general view......
In Cagliari suburbs - on a roundabout at Pirri - you may need to ask various strangers at local bus stop!!
Cagliari has a railway museum - but only open on Saturday morning !! Worth a visit.....
Recent trip to Sardinia - quite a treasure trove - first brilliantly plinthed loco at Cagliari station
In future we are going to show selected photos from our various trips - totally for your enjoyment - BUT we will award prizes to any follower who comes with some interesting "stuff" about photos and/or railways featured - whoopee!!!
We are very sorry for lack of action in last few months - life keeps getting in the way!! So much so we are changing!!! We are moving away from a quiz........
Final one of four - probably most obvious, but I like the photo - what/where??? Answers to all three in a couple of weeks - have fun!!
