@VeryVegan05Hates injustice. Fighting for better treatment of women in outpatients gynaecology departments.
Several solicitors have shown an interest in the inquiries that @thatismyknee and I have made regarding group legal action against the NHS re. several unethical/illegal aspects OP #hysteroscopy. Please contact either of us if you're interested in joining our fight for justice.

After 6 months, my womb lining had gone from 8mm to 12 to 22. Despite being given hormones to shed it. Google tells us 22 mm is cancer. Was still ignored. My private hysteroscopy with spinal anaesthetic was 4 months after that. These people are wicked
Because the biopsy was negative - I probably didn't have cancer at that stage - it was all considered not urgent, though a scan six months later showed massive changes.
I'm so sorry I believe there is a campaign group on this issue. You should tell them your story. It needs to be heard
I insisted on anaesthesia for hysteroscopy after a dreadful biopsy. 11 months later, with worrying changes in scans, it still hadn't happened. I had access to Bupa so used it. Grade 2 uterine cancer. With suspected lung metastases. This brutal attitude costs lives.
Yes, I have been in touch and met them. I just repost my story at every opportunity hoping it will shock clinicians to the core and show them what happens when they treat women like animals. The gaslighting and cover ups and misogyny I encountered were genuinely shocking.
What's worse is that my history of massive obstetric trauma and damage to my cervix from botched care years before meant that any such procedures were going to be traumatic for me and need anaesthesia. But the guy didn't even read my notes before performing the biopsy.
But will it cost more ? With the right anaesthetic first time every time. No double billing no extra GP appointments sessions of counselling. The hospitals cash cow will end but the total cost to the NHS as a whole should be about the same or even less.
If more funding was available NHS gynea depts would not be performing out patient hysteroscopy without adequate pain relief, traumatizing women in the process. It is not a ' little' camera though cervix, neither is it a' little' discomfort. For 1:3 its severe pain.
Could you please have a look at the no anaesthetic #hysteroscopy scandal @HysteroscopyA would be a good place to start
In todays NHS women are expected to endure excruciating pain during #Hysteroscopy which is minor #womb surgery on just Paracetamol this is financially incentivised by over paying for this cheap n nasty test and setting targets of 90% for diagnostic + biopsy.
It is a miserable existence. Our bodies are now a torture chamber of horrors. You can't sit, stand, walk or lay without radiating pain. Infections, Inflammation affects every organ causing multiple issues and diseases, even organ failure. We are just the "Cost of Doing Business!
'Like ripping my insides' - fears hysteroscopy guidelines not enough bbc.com/news/articles/…
OP #Hysteroscopy has left 000s of #women with long-term #trauma. On our own, we are powerless. Together, we are powerful! Together, we can and will win this fight for justice! Together, we will ensure future women get the #painfree options they deserve.
Women who stand up for themselves are being dismissed as “negative press” at a nursing event. Too many women are at risk of dying because they will never put themselves through the trauma of a #hysteroscopy again after their first traumatic experience 😡
Here's an example of patients' voices demonised as "Negative Press". Campaign Against Painful Hysteroscopy is caricatured in @Hologic nurse event. We're complaining about the withholding of anaesthetists & IV sedation+analgesia. Nurse hysteroscopists gives STRESS BALLS!
And then imagine how bad their mental health will be once they are subjected to an outpatient hysteroscopy with no pain relief or warning! Is anyone counting how many women have PTSD as a result of gynaecologists' disregard for the principle of informed consent??
Have you heard of @HysteroscopyA ? They helped me . Hoping you are alright now.
Yes Gynaecology appointments are delayed as are test results. And then when you’re seen it’s often to endure treatment such as endometrial biopsy and hysteroscopy without pain relief. Women’s health is not prioritised and is riddled with institutional misogyny #R4Today
My 11 month wait for a hysteroscopy re post menopausal bleeding resulted in Grade 2 uterine cancer. With suspected lung metastases. Only found because I finally used BUPA. I'd insisted I must have anaesthesia after a horrendous biopsy (previous cervical birth trauma).
