#Lebanon Don‘t look away- another major displacement and child rights crisis in the making Within one week, more than 1.2 million displaced, including many refugees from #Syria We need to stop this cycle of violence. Children in #Israel, #Lebanon, #Gaza need peace. NOW

“Families have been left homeless, stranded in the open air with traumatized children unable to understand what’s happening. They all told me how desperate they are to feel safe, & for the airstrikes to stop so they can return to their towns & villages.”- @FilippoGrandi @refugees

An honour to join our partners to open 1st #HSC2024. Let's remember there is no peace without development & no development without peace. If we are to confront & overcome our biggest challenges, we must build innovative alliances to deliver the #SDGs. go.undp.org/oMS

We’re very proud that UNICEF's digital application Oky is the winner of the SDG Digital GameChanger Award 2024. We’re especially proud of our co-creators, the adolescent girls. They are the real force in bridging the gender divide and breaking taboos around menstruation.

As I arrive in the Gaza Strip today, I’m struck by the sheer intensity of the damage and destruction I see and by so many children wandering among the rubble. Too many children killed, too many still suffering. This must end.

The International Court of Justice has ruled that Israel's occupation of the Palestinian territory does not comply with international law and that settlement activity must cease. Belgium will always stand up for the respect of international law.

Storms Floods Droughts Wild fires This is our future already happening today Its not just homes destroyed, it’s futures derailed as 20,000 children are displaced from their homes every day due to foods or storms. #ClimateAction for #EveryChild now. @UNICEF @youngo_unfccc

“What the climate crisis did to my grandmother’s house must not become humanity's new normal.” Witnessing Hurricane Beryl's devastation on his home island of Carriacou, @UNFCCC chief @simonstiell calls for urgent, more ambitious #ClimateAction to protect our planet.

Die @AllianceSahel will deshalb gemeinsam Millionen Kindern Bildung ermöglichen.
