15 years ago I flew to Indianapolis with @BarackObama for his last campaign stop. We felt unexpectedly calm, knowing over the last 21 months we had done all we could do and we had faith that the American people would put their faith in him.

This week, I'm in Malawi with @MelindaGates and Amal Clooney as part of our work together to advance gender equality and help end child marriage. We’re visiting programs like @AGEAfrica that are supporting girls to pursue their dreams.
Child marriage is a major impediment to girls finishing school. @MichelleObama, @melindagates, and Amal Clooney are in Malawi in collaboration with the @girlsalliance, @GatesFoundation, and @ClooneyFDN to empower girls and help lift them up.
In 2009, @BarackObama hosted the first White House Tribal Nations Conference. We talked jobs, energy, and health care with leaders from 564 federally recognized tribes. It was a historic step in addressing the unique needs of Indigenous communities. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth
