This is fundamentally the waste of a reusable building part of the local heritage. Retaining a facade and demolishing the rest of the building is not what is needed. We need to be reusing buildings not releasing carbon. Commiserations to @SCockburnPrice @knitboy

Sheffield City Council has completed a deal to acquire the former Salvation Army Citadel. The iconic building, on Cross Burgess Street, has stood in the city centre for well over a century.
Following a great day in Rotherham we will also be at the *Doncaster Local History Fair* on Sat 16 November 2024 at DGLAM from 11am to 3pm. I hope we get to meet some of our Doncaster members and learn more about the city's heritage issues. 🙂 @MyDoncaster @DonnyFreePress
