Had a nice relaxing day of playing #hamradio after a hectic weekend. Focused on hunting #POTA activators to get to 500 unique parks worked. Final tally as I turn everything off: 25 individual POTA activators worked, (unsure how many parks) - 16 FT8 & 9 SSB. Also nabbed 3 #SOTA
Repeat #POTA gripe: "Park-to-park, standby..." - I wouldn't believe it if I didn't hear it with my own two ears. What the hell is wrong with you people?! There ought to be a black list. #hamradio

Fun #hamradio fact: The further down the HF bands you go, the more the conversation revolves around radio. 10m - no one gives a shit about your setup 160m - all they talk about is their gear and setup. It's just varying percentages of the subject matter in between.
My son and I were listening to @kfbk out of Sacramento, CA from just outside Bamfield, BC on Saturday night on our hunting trip.... in a valley, on the truck radio, no less! That's some good AM DX. Here are some random pics from the trip.

Unsolicited #hamradio opinion: The problem with most contests/programs is they are designed by guys who have never operated a radio standing up, who honestly think that using a radio plugged in to an RV, on shore power in a campground is some great feat of portable operating.
