A short video to showcase our project partnership with smallholder farmers through @mssrf, @Rengalakshmi10 & her team ahead of the @UniofReading's #2023ResearchAwards next week. #researchcollaborations #knowledgeexchange #contextspecificsolutions #ecologicalintensification

Planting insect-friendly flowers alongside crops is helping smallholder farmers in India improve fruit and vegetable yields while using fewer damaging agrochemicals, thanks to research by @UniRdg_SAPD ecologists, @deepa_sena and Mike Garratt. 🌼🐝

Later this afternoon the global temperature summaries for 2022 will be released by Met Office, NOAA, NASA and Berkeley Earth. This means a new climate stripe will be added. But what colour will 2022 be?

There were 300.000 Greek people in Constantinople in 1918. Today there are only 1.500. The Μuslim minority of Western Thrace in Greece was up to 86.000 in 1923. Today amounts to 120.000. President Erdogan dares to accuse Greece of not respecting the minority. That' s a shame!

Dan Janzen, addressing the #ICE2022 global insect decline symposium from the dry tropics - he has witnessed big changes since the late 1960s, especially recently. Insect species once enormously abundant are notably missing. His message - there will be survivors. Be kind to them!
