Was an honor to meet the one and only Philippa Boyens! To be validated by her was sooo dope, and it assured me that the path im taking is the right one! 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿

the discourse can be fun! your life is too short and too beautiful to spend it weaponizing fictional worlds!

‘THE RINGS OF POWER’ star Robert Aramayo (Elrond) on critical fan reception: “I get it […] I want to implore people to just look at the show.”

I’m also very much in the mixed bag camp

How are we feeling about the finale? For me it was a mixed bag — so much of the brilliant writing is overshadowed by some of my least favorite dialogue and story choices. Several missed opportunities in my opinion. Visually stunning as always though. #TheRingsOfPower

What a line up!

We are excited to announce our speaker list and open registration for the Christopher Tolkien Centenary Conference. Find out more and join us for this very special event. tolkiensociety.org/events/christo…

'The Silmarillion' was published on this day in 1977! We would love to hear your favorite quotes or moments from the book in the comments as we commemorate its publication.

Every time I think, “I’m going to be productive! 💪,” my pregnancy is like “No ☺️” So tbd when we’ll be publishing our episode on season two, episode 5 of #TheRingsOfPower 😬

This has me just thinking about how different Lord of the Rings would have been with even just one place saved.

If you could defend and save ONE doomed land in Middle-earth (Eregion, Númenor, Khazad-dûm, etc), which would you save so that it’s still standing by the Third Age?

Anyone else have ride or die copies of #TheHobbit and #LordOfTheRings? They are looking a little worse for wear these days but they’ve been with me for every step of the way of this podcast 🥲

Happy anniversary to the world finding out they had only seen the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Middle-earth! We will forever be in Christopher Tolkien’s debt for the treasure trove of his father’s writings he gave us!

On 15 September 1977: J.R.R. #Tolkien's The Silmarillion was published. Edited by Christopher Tolkien, the book details the entire history of the world before The Hobbit, and goes into the legends that underpin the entire mythology including the creation of the world.

I’m probably going to go into more detail about this in our next episode, but I think installments of #TheRingsOfPower like episode 5, “Halls of Stone,” are great reminders to not skip the songs/poems in Lord of the Rings or the Appendices 😉

Stopping by real quick to say no I haven’t watched #TheRingsOfPower episode 5 yet, but we did publish our thoughts on episode 4! Watch it on YouTube or listen wherever you get your podcasts 💚 youtu.be/FHvRZrwewV8?si…
