Kwanzaa runs from today through 1/1. It’s a time for families and communities to reflect on the past & celebrate African American culture. Kwanzaa centers on seven principles that help build & maintain unified & empowered communities. @BostonSchools wishes you a Happy Kwanzaa!

Kwanzaa is an annual celebration of African-American culture from 12/26 to 01/01 culminating in a communal feast called Karamu on the 6th day. It was created by activist Maulana Karenga, based on African harvest festival traditions from various parts of West and Southeast Africa.
