One of our new ALPR (automatic license plate reader) cameras being installed around town. Soon, we'll have 18 of these in service. Designed to read license plates and help cops catch criminals based on the plate, not a facial picture.
Better weather means the Tennis & Swim Center is now open again (pool reopens tomorrow!) as well as most parks and restrooms. The Senior Center, DeAnza office, and Creekside Park & Klubhouse Preschool remain closed as programs are canceled. Facilities will reopen tomorrow.

Hot temps and even hotter wildfires this week. Great reminder to be prepared for any emergencies. And some hot music is on its way to Calabasas Lake. These items and more in Mayor David J. Shapiro's weekly Letter to the Community. See it at cityofcalabasas.com

You feel that? 3.4 magnitude near Malibu.
All the rain in recent weeks means there could be small pools of standing water in your yard. Look around. Old tires, small pots, even coffee cans can hold enough water for mosquitoes to breed. Dump it! The threat of West Nile Virus is very real. @GLAmosquito
Wild weather out there. Lightning, thunder and rain. Be careful on the roads. Rain should stick around until late afternoon.
