I often use the baby-steps concept. Small steps at the time, learning and improving as we go along...

What a mindset! Often I hear “Yes, but...” and then a lot of arguments why not - resulting in inaction. Last week, I heard “Yes, we just need...” - resulting in progress. Despite challenges to solve, this attitude changed the conversation and energized the team moving forward 🙌🏻

How do we demystify inclusion and disability sport? This is the title of the presentation given by Laura Baxter MBE Director, Special Olympics GB at the More Active Disabled People conference 14th September 2022, EIS Sheffield - how disability sports can grow participation.

How does community sport cope with the cost of living crisis? Less money around and higher costs...you have to develop a stronger enterprise mindset and skillset. DM for info

It's time for another "guess the location" post! As always, this is a photo taken somewhere in Yorkshire, but do you know where? 💭📸 #YorkshireHandmadePies #Yorkshire

It's great to see guide dogs keeping fit doing Doggy Yoga #Doga

I do feel that there is strong scope for the retail sector and physical activity providers to work closely together engaging with their customers and using their location, branding and community engagement to activate their customers.

These 'pushy parents' and the compliant academy coaches are causing so much damage to the kids who just want to play sport and enjoy themselves

1/6: Chatting to my son Charlie's pal's mam at school this morning (they're both in reception, aged 5). She was telling me her son is going to trials on Saturday at the football he's been going to this year. I'm like 😩😲

Dave, I am really pleased you enjoyed the webinar. Yes, there are some great examples of community sports enterprises generating significant income to support their activities and the Balanced Scorecard is a great way of keeping track of your overall work in a simple way

Sat in on an excellent webinar today on the future of sport led by @Sportsmarketer A few things stood out to me: 1) @HallamBarbell is on point 2) some sports clubs with diverse income streams are making big money 3) The balanced scorecard concept smnuk.com

Kristine, that's a very interesting point. Too many health professionals just see the patient in from of them as a 'symptom' a 'case' and not a real living person

People using health services often describe how it made them feel; when the journey was successful and when it went wrong. We rarely think health - we feel it, we sense it, we know it. Health Literacy responsiveness therefore embraces both sense & sensibility #healthliteracy #UX

So, what are the golf industry bodies doing about this? Every sports sector is undergoing changes in terms of lifestyles and technology...you can't stand still.

The traditional pro-shop/club pro buisness model will slowly die out at run of the mill courses,it’s getting harder and harder to make it work, the worst thing we can do if part of this is ignore that it WILL become untenable at so many clubs Sad😢but true unfortunately

Looks like an interesting partnership...

100% enjoyment at @VGAGymnastics - performance gymnasts want to have fun and we must never lose sight of that. If children and young people are having fun and enjoying what they do they will want to return!
