Seeing this Social Equity Trust Fund finally come to fruition has me verklempt. Big thanks to @nathanaelshea, @shaleentitle, former CCC Chair Steve Hoffman, all the folks at @mass_eon, and @BECMAInc for all the labors over the yrs to get it into the law! bostonglobe.com/2024/09/24/bus…

Thank you, @POTUS @JoeBiden For showing us what it looks like to put country before personal power. For winning the strongest climate legislation ever in history--even with a divided Congress. For bringing millions of children out of poverty. You are a patriot & I'm so grateful.

There's lead in our kids' applesauce and doors are flying off of planes. @SpeakerJohnson , please get the gov't funded & the House focused on problem solving. nytimes.com/2024/02/27/wor… (& thanks @nytimes & North Carolina Public Health)

“I won’t mince words,” [@SoniaChangDiaz] said. “[T]his is a case study in how strong the police lobby is in our Statehouse, and then also, I think it’s a case study in how the modus operandi of the police lobby is to wield power in the shadows of the legislative process.” #mapoli

Massachusetts cannot tolerate racial bias in police stops. The Legislature must act capecodtimes.com/story/opinion/…

Wow, Massachusetts says goodbye to another great this week. Sue was a friend, a mentor to me as a young female senator, & a sister-in-arms on housing and casinos. I'll never forget her warm, gravely laugh ❤️ .

Former Sen. Susan Tucker, who represented parts of the Merrimack Valley for two decades in the Legislature, died on Monday at the age of 79, the Eagle-Tribune reported. on.necn.com/T760dxi

Libertarians angry that a dress code is being abandoned. You can’t make this stuff up. I’m dying.

Awful. The Senate chamber isn’t your home, a gym, or an outdoor park. If you can’t dress professionally for work on the floor of the Senate of the United States, then do us all a favor and get a different job. axios.com/2023/09/17/sen…
