Looking for a * randomized experiment * with an A X B factorial design where * the A and B factors have 4+ levels each, * the sample size isn't embarrassingly low, and * the data are open. Self-promotion encouraged. Bonus internet points for psychology studies. #openscience

A great blogpost indeed, and I truly appreciated the author's effort to evolve the POPS drama into a constructive discussion about the role that non-epistemic values (should) play in science. But, I disagree with several points raised in the post.🧵👇🙂

New post! "You Also Have An Ideology." Inspired by, erm, recent events, but really about a much broader tendency to treat the normative ideology as though it does not exist. getsyeducated.substack.com/p/you-also-hav…

New blog post: John Tukey on the importance, and difference, of decisions and conclusions in science: daniellakens.blogspot.com/2022/05/tukey-… His 1960 paper is an interesting piece on the role decision theory and communicating conclusions play in building a corpus of findings.

Hi everyone! We created a scale (with my advisor @sgulgoz) that aims to measure the need for emotional closure over past events. We are collecting data for the English version, with native English speakers. It will last approximately 15 minutes and I need over 200 participants.

The incongruities between the science and the publishing business...

1. Replicate a top-journal article 2. Found a huge coding error overturning all results 3. Inform the top-journal editors 4. Top-journal editors said that they do not review, consider, or publish any replication. -- What an accumulation of scientific knowledge!
