Working remotely. Joined a fully-digital, Toronto law firm in Jan 2023 and only been to the office twice. 1 time was for lunch. Lol. I’ve worked out of Windsor, CAD; Lagos, NGA; Nairobi, KYA & looking to add at least 5 more cities b4 year end. Nomadic. No in-person for me, pls.

Which do you prefer: working remotely, going to the company office, or hybrid work?

“When a rich man is sick, a beggar goes to visit him and say sorry. When the beggar is sick, he waits to recover and then goes to tell the rich man that he has been sick. It is the place of the poor man to make a visit to the rich man who holds the yam and the knife.” C. Achebe

Xi Jinping has been to Africa five times over the past decade. Donald Trump and Joe Biden have not visited Africa, even once, over the past 8 years. (Do whatever you want with this information. I am just passing across information, not trying to debate).

“… gives thanks unceasingly to his late mother.” Whether in life or death, I’m not sure a son can make a parent prouder. When the leader of your country (on behalf of its people) gives “unceasing” thanks to your parent for your achievement, that’s incomparable immortalisation.

Enjoyed this letter very much. Shout out to Botswana’s Sensation

The Windsor Symphony Orchestra (Windsor, Ontario) brought free delightful music to the waterfront yesterday. A summer moment of community to cherish. The icecream tasted better after a earful of Handel and Ellington. Mouth sugar after ear sugar. 🎶

@SamOlaAlabi , you remember this night?

It’s July 4th. It’s the 18th anniversary of the greatest 2 minutes in Italian calcio history: Grosso-Del Piero, andiamo a Berlino

On a walk back from the Southbank of the River Thames with my dear friend, brother and mutiple award-winning journalist @kemi_busari, I saw this house where Rudyard Kipling used to live. Needless to say I was giddy with excitement to see Kemi and Kipling!

I like this perspective. Mo ma adopt e.

I guess "mental real estates" eats different foods. You've got your own menu😄

True. But how come whenever my “mental real estate” reaches 3k, I find myself booking the next available flight to Only-God-Knows-Where & then account is back to minus-whatever? Are dreams made of flights and new places?😊

Savings give you a mental real estate to pursue your dreams.

So my first son ⁦@SamOlaAlabi⁩ , who I hadn’t seen since Aug 2019, came into the UK to celebrate Eid with me and my family. Wholesome moment for me.

15. And if I had to choose where to visit again between Paris, France, Johannesburg, South Africa or Nairobi, Kenya, I will pick Nairobi Kenya without any hesitation. Best value-for-money city that I know for a young African.

Only 5 for me. You?
