Drink spiking is a horrendous crime and reports are increasing. Updated legislation to make it a standalone criminal offence shouldn’t be delayed by Stormont - we should cooperate with Westminster to make it happen. I’ve asked both governments to work together.

Delighted to attend the @Votesat16NI conference today alongside @MatthewOToole2 @SDLPlive remains committed to expanding the right to vote to all who contribute to our society - this must include 16- and 17-year-olds! 🗳️ 🙌

The SDLP Opposition is today launching an ambitious ‘Plan for Change’, setting out a vision and priorities for the remainder of the mandate – while challenging the Executive to set clear targets and ambitions rather than vague aspirations.

The public deserves clear targets in the Programme for Government. Sadly this document is light on substance, and fails to mention key areas including the establishment of an independent Environmental Protection Agency and the appointment of an Irish Language Commissioner.
