Grateful to @CatherineMcdai8 for giving people a chance to rally against recent attacks against women in Derry, and for the invitation to speak. The issue is urgent and universal, but also brutally local for this region.

Really proud of my SDLP colleague Catherine McDaid for her role in organising this rally alongside others. Derry has always been known as a city of strong women and it's really heartening to see this turnout tonight.

A rally for women's safety is being held this evening. It come after the Chief Constable Jon Boutcher said he was throwing the 'kitchen sink' at investigating two recent attacks on women in the North West.

👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Tomorrow we are launching our plan for childcare. 🫂 It's clear that our childcare model is broken, with families struggling to pay and businesses struggling to stay afloat. 🤝 Our Childcare Guarantee aims to halve childcare fees by 2030, providing families with stability.
