Rhode Island is pretty freaking awesome.

Kudos to @SecMayorkas and the Department of Homeland Security for making DHS one of the first federal agencies to make recommendations for how to use AI to improve operations. Smart use of AI can help protect Americans from terror attacks, natural disasters, and other threats.

Today, DHS released a set of recommendations for the safe and secure development and deployment of AI in critical infrastructure, the “Roles and Responsibilities Framework for Artificial Intelligence in Critical Infrastructure”. This first-of-its kind resource was developed by…

For 40 years, Social Security benefits have been cut for millions of police officers, first responders, teachers & government employees because of a law that unfairly penalizes public servants. That's why I voted to pass the #SocialSecurityFairnessAct to right this wrong.

This week, I’m back in Washington for the first time since the election, and we are back to work. My mantra continues to be that I will always work across party lines when it is good for Rhode Islanders, but also that I will stand up against extremism wherever I see it.

It's the anniversary of the Infrastructure Law, passed by Democrats, that's bringing BILLIONS of federal dollars to RI to replace the Washington Bridge, remove lead pipes, fix roads and bridges & more. I will always fight to ensure RI receives our fair share of federal funding.

It is dangerous for our country to have unqualified and ethically compromised people elevated to sensitive positions. President Trump should reconsider his nominations of Matt Gaetz and Tulsi Gabbard. WATCH:

NEW: $19 MILLION of federal funding is coming to RI to upgrade our state’s rail system, thanks to the infrastructure bill passed by Congressional Democrats. This grant will replace aging rail infrastructure to transport more goods and put Rhode Islanders to work.

Women deserve the right to make their own decisions about their health and future. On #ThxBirthControl Day, we are reminded that reproductive freedoms — including access to birth control — are under attack. We won’t ever give up this fight.

ICYMI: The enrollment period for Rhode Island’s health insurance marketplace @HealthSourceRI is now OPEN and running through January 31, 2025. Find an affordable plan that works for you at healthsourceri.com.

This is a HUGE win for workers. Any future Trump appointee to the @NLRB should pledge to keep this rule in place.

BREAKING: The NLRB has just ruled that captive audience meetings are illegal nationwide. These are mandatory meetings where bosses try to persuade workers not unionize, often using coercive tactics.

Statement on President-Elect Trump’s Intention to Nominate Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence and Matt Gaetz for Attorney General:

November is National Veterans and Military Families Month. Behind every servicemember is a family that serves alongside them. Thank you to the spouses, children, parents, siblings and other loved ones of America’s men and women in uniform for your sacrifice.

For too long, an unfair law has cut the Social Security benefits of retired police officers, firefighters, teachers & government employees. I voted to pass the #SocialSecurityFairnessAct to end the GPO & WEP provisions and restore benefits for those who serve their communities.

Wishing a happy birthday to my friend and colleague @SenJackReed! Thankful to be fighting the good fight with you on behalf of working Rhode Islanders.

We owe a debt of gratitude to the veterans across RI who have answered the call to serve. It is because of them that our country is safer and freer. We honored their service today at the annual Veterans Day Ceremony in Bristol.
