With support from @NSF, @RQuantumSim is organizing QSim 2023, a conference on all aspects of quantum simulation, from August 7-11 in Telluride, Colorado. The early registration deadline of May 15 is just over a week away. Hope to see you there! qsimconference.org
[2305.01097] Unitary Coupled Cluster: Seizing the Quantum Moment #compchem arxiv.org/abs/2305.01097
New publication online! We propose a quantum unitary downfolding (QDSRG) scheme that greatly reduces quantum resources required to achieve chemical accuracy, and we show how QDSRG is used to model two pathways of an isomerization reaction on noisy small-scale quantum devices.
A quantum unitary downfolding formalism that works on noisy and fault-tolerant hardware is proposed and tested on several challenging chemical problems, offering a viable approach for estimating molecular properties with chemical accuracy. @quantofrancesco go.aps.org/3V4Gh3a

Registration for the IBM Quantum Spring Challenge 2022 is officially open! The event kicks off Monday, 5/23 at 9:00 AM EDT, and will center on the theme of quantum simulations. More details and registration link available on the IBM Research Blog: research.ibm.com/blog/quantum-s…
When I was learning quantum computing, there was basically nowhere on the internet to get good answers to questions. Coding places didn't understand quantum. Physics places didn't understand computing. The qc stack exchange being created quantumcomputing.stackexchange.com was such a relief.
When you’re showing off the next book you want banned with the perfect edges and everything to underscore to everyone you haven’t actually read it
Please retweet!🔥 We have 6 new positions in our #Quantum #AI team @Zapata!🚀 We are now a team of 15 scientists and engineers committed to the quest for practical quantum advantage! Looking for exceptional talent to push the frontier of #QuantumComputing & #ML research. See 🧵👇

New approaches in basis-set-free quantum chemistry: This time for the variational quantum eigensolver with reduced qubit resources. A pleasure to work with an amazing team: Philipp Schleich, Teresa Tamayo-Mendoza and @A_Aspuru_Guzik . arxiv.org/abs/2008.02819
Psi4Education, our education and outreach program, has just released five new Psi4 Jupyter notebook labs. Check out some great new labs that guide students through writing their own HF code or introduce them to machine learning in #CompChem! admiring-tesla-08529a.netlify.app/posts/psi4educ…
ICYMI: So proud of the amazing careers panel on @qiskit live today to wrap up the #QiskitGSS! From an #IBMQuantum perspective, these are all good areas to study across disciplines. Be curious, never stop learning! 🎉 youtu.be/7dfw8k2p1to
There is a postdoctoral position available in my group in the Department of Chemistry, Emory University. Please check out the details about this position on the #VCTC2020 job postings page: actc2021.com/node/242
Join the Evangelista lab! We have two #postdoc positions open for research in quantum chemistry, quantum computing, and machine learning (theory and coding). PhDs in chemistry, physics, or materials science are welcome to apply. Contact us/check us out at evangelistalab.org.
My colleague John Watrous is moving his course on Advanced Topics in Quantum Information Theory online. First two lecture videos are up, and they seem very high quality. I'm sure some #quantum-heads out there will enjoy it! @henryquantum @ewintang cs.uwaterloo.ca/~watrous/CS798/
