So far this year I have submitted 1 letter of intent and 2 manuscripts. But the co-authorship I'm proudest of calls me "Dad." She has brought plenty of changes, maybe the most unexpected is a name change. My wife and I have taken the family name: Raccah. 1/3

Amazing opportunity for a postdoctoral fellowship @StanfordEnergy 👀Are you excited by bioenergetics of photosynthesis and the CCM? This is an great opportunity to develop crossdisciplinary research on energy & sustainability with us! @carnegiescience energypostdoc.stanford.edu

This looks awesome! I have only one question: Does TX count as the southeast? We are about as south as it gets and we are east of the rockies...

Dear nonlinear spectroscopy enthusiasts in the southeast, I am happy to announce (on behalf of the committee @TimLian5 @GhadiriGroup, and Paul Ohno) the Network for Southeast Ultrafast & Nonlinear Spectroscopy (NSUNS) nsuns.org/home

I co-direct the @cifar_news newly-renamed program on Accelerated Decarbonization program with the incredible @cpbCleanEnergy Here we announce the name change. Thanks to all program members and the @CIFAR_News team. We hope our basic science approach leads to fresh ideas!

The world is in a carbon imbalance. CIFAR’s Accelerated Decarbonization program — formerly Bio-Inspired Solar Energy —is looking to restore the balance. Learn more about the renamed program and its new direction: cifar.ca/cifarnews/2023…

Fascinating analysis. For urban-dwellers: if we want to shape the cities we live in to a better (more equitable) future then we have to understand the forces that shape their demographics, economic foundations, and housing markets. Emily continues to uncover those trends!

It’s been clear for years that workers without a college degree have been migrating away from the most expensive parts of the country. In this project, @gebeloffnyt @jshkatz + I show that *college-educated workers* are now migrating away from them, too. nytimes.com/interactive/20…

Congratulations to @tarungera18, @DoranRaccah, and co-authors for being featured on the upcoming JCP cover!

So happy to share our new work. Simulating optical linear absorption for mesoscale molecular aggregates: An adaptive hierarchy of pure states approach pubs.aip.org/aip/jcp/articl… Congratulations to all the co-authors.

This is a cool first step on the lab's journey towards large scale simulations of non-linear spectroscopy. @Tarungera18 did a great job finishing this project during his first few months in the group! Congratulations to the whole team!

Congratulations to @tarungera18 and the whole team on the lab's most recent article featured on the cover of @JChemPhys! The first Dyadic adaptive HOPS (DadHOPS) implementation demonstrates linear absorption calculations scaled to massive aggregates.

Dear friends and colleagues, please help us RT🙏🌷: Less than 1 week left to apply for an oral presentation at the Photosynthesis Gordon Research Seminar 🌱👩‍🔬👨‍🔬👩‍💻👨‍💻 Hurry up to register and apply 😊

We are specifically encouraging photosynthetic researchers at early stages to apply to the GRS. There will be a broad range of topics and a mentoring session covering plenty of relevant grounds!

The morning session looks like it is going to be a lot of fun! #ACSSpring2023

Interested in hearing about what we have been up to recently? Check out Doran's talk tomorrow morning at the ACS in the Multidimensional spectroscopy symposium!

Running formally exact simulation on a 666 bacteriochlorophyll aggregate turned out to be challenging. Who would have guessed? We learned a lot about making adaptive HOPS calculations manageable while finishing this project. The fruits of that are in MesoHOPS v1.3.

Congratulations to Jacob, Leo, and Brian for publication of their work simulating exciton transport in a mesoscale LH2 aggregate containing 666 bacteriochlorophylls using adHOPS! We had fun collaborating with Oliver Kühn (@MolQdyn)! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Now over 48 hours with out internet @googlefiber (zip: 78722). In the 4 days we have lived in this house you have had a 50% uptime and your online outage checker pushes back the repair estimate every 4 hours. Any hope of this getting repaired before we start work Monday?

I really wish physical chemistry journals had something equivalent. I would love for my work to live in this kind of system.

Massive news: eLife to abolish accept/reject decisions: papers will just be “peer reviewed”. Others can argue about this, but lots of interesting consequences. 1/9 elifesciences.org/articles/83889
