June 3, 2024. Mark your calendars. POST MIL ROCK AND ROLL!

Rehab...Tweaked my back for the first time in over a year on Saturday and caused a muscle spasm. In the past the pain and major loss of ROM would last a couple of months. Hit the gym this morning and pulled 300 following this protocol recommended a while back by @ReynoldsSTRONG!

Time to take advantage of the grace being shown to us tonight. We’ve got work to do.

If you know or follow @SayreNick I would like to ask you to join me in pestering him relentlessly through tweets, dm's, and/or texts until we finally get the first @cardinalbluez single!

One awesome thing that's come from being on Twitter has been meeting more like-minded Christian musicians around the country like @SowerProject7 from Ohio. His new single Redemption is awesome, like a based mix of Pedro the Lion and The Wonder Years. Give it a listen!

If you record with the door open you sometimes get visitors...This is actually the take that made it into the final version! Production is almost done on the new EP and the release is planned for Jan. More announcements to come between now and then so stay tuned!

Preorder our brand new book, "Haunted Cosmos: Doing Your Duty in a World That's Not Just Stuff" today! Shipping early November. You won't want to miss it. 🔥

New training tip: Lift to @mastodonmusic to gain the strength of a mastodon. Finished off today's bench workout with 2 rep PR's: 232.5 for sets of 5 and 205 for this set of 10!

Steambreather might be my new deadlift song...I don't think the bar will ever feel as heavy as that opening guitar line. Took a step back after the PR at 335 for triples to tighten up form. Today was 5x5 @ 300 🫠🏋️‍♂️

This next EP is coming along quite nicely IMHO...It has a title, artwork, and we're starting to talk release dates. The stoke is high my friends!

HUGE PR day today! This was the peak for both my bench and squat programs. The goal was a single @ 250 on bench and I went 3x3! Squats were 3x3 @ 315. Three plates has been my squat goal for the last year since I started lifting. Time to step into a new program and keep pushing!

Hold fast hope before the gallows / Sing out Psalms amidst the flames / We'll build up churches in the ruins / As we raise the banner of the King! POST MIL ROCK AND ROLL

No videos from today's workout, but working sets were 4x2 @ 147.5 on OHP and 3x3 @ 330 followed by 2x5 @ 310 on deadlift. This video is a grinding double @ 145 last week (3rd of 4). 147.5 today moved slightly better on 3/4 of the sets.

The new Westminster Shorter Catechism album is officially out! I feel like @Brian_Sauve and I really hit a stride on this one and the music was a blast to produce. Please give it a listen and share with a friend!

These can all be found everywhere music is under the artist name Westminster Shorter Catechism Songs with Brian Sauvé as well! If you like my musical work and want to support it, go to the address at the end of every video. Big thanks to @RayBucknerSound for producing this…

In April I PR'd my squat at 3x3 @ 305. Form was shallow, shaky, and bent over. Dropped back for months to do lots of volume work focusing on depth, balance, and staying more upright. Today's working sets were 5x3 @ 300 and I feel so much stronger!

Bench program is working extremely well. Today I was scheduled for doubles at 237.5 and was able to knock out three sets of triples without any question of failing. Previous triple PR was a struggling 1x3 at 235. Push yourself and be consistent, it just works!

I’m taking a break from working on Out of the Graves this week to finalize mixes on the next Westminster Shorter Catechism album with @Brian_Sauve A lot of you asked me when this was coming at the @New_Christendom conference and the answer is soon my friends…very soon 🫡

You know you’re a musician when your kid shows you a sticker like this and your first thought is “Woah! Your book has 2x12 Fender Tweed cab stickers?!? I want one!”

Made some form adjustments today to tighten up some areas where I’ve been slipping. It’s the first time deadlifts have been fun and felt this good in quite a while. 5x3 @ 315
