A year ago our lab partnered w/ @Hyper0bjekt to share our research on prison pay-to-stay with the world, continuing our work to abolish the practice. Since 2016 we’ve tracked how states sue people to pay for their own prison time. Follow @CaptiveMoneyLab for updates!

Now that the ink has dried and I’ve bought swag, happy to announce that F2024 I’ll be joining UCLA as an assistant professor in sociology! The journey has been real & I’m overjoyed that things are falling into place. “Big girl job” loading, now just have to finish this PhD 🤗
