Will stay here indefinitely, but I doubt I'll post original thoughts, and no artwork or photos because as an artist and writer I don't want my creative work training AI and finding it turn up in someone else's work. I'm doing that elsewhere on IG and BS. Will interact still 💙

If you have had Covid and it has harmed you long term, and you want to avoid catching Covid again because the medical evidence is that further infections may harm you further... that's not Health Anxiety, that's Health Common Sense.

People should know about ME/CFS, just as MS, Parkinson’s, and diabetes are common knowledge. When ME patients disclose their illness, they are often met with comments such as “I’m also tired”. Patients shouldn’t have to face such ignorance—it’s a severe illness. #MEAwarenessHour

Just about to go to rhyme time. I’m stopped by someone at the lift. “How old is the baby”? Me: almost 8m old Them: and they let your kind be patents ? Me: my kind? Them: the disabled. Poor kid. Am I shocked this single track thinking is still going on? No 1/

Devastating news 😪 “The Phase II study on #BC007 by @BerlinCures has failed, the company has filed for bankruptcy.”

Ireland now has Covid-19 infection as a risk factor for blood clots- publicly. 👏

Blood clots usually occur when you have more than one risk factor at a time. Learn more about #bloodclots and the risk factors on our website: bit.ly/3Np6Q01 #SpotTheClot @NationalQPS @NVTEProgramme

It can also be caused by a progesterone deficiency, which I also have. I'm unfortunately not able to get bioidentical progesterone. If anyone knows of a way to get that... let me know, because I'd like to try.

It’s been almost 5 years since Covid started - and people are STILL asking “are you going to wear that mask forever?” Folks - we are in a worse place now with respect to the pandemic than we were before. You bet I’m going to mask forever - or until something significant changes.

Anyone non-disabled leaving here, please make sure to keep your disabled and chronically ill followers and friends. Online communities are an important part of community care and mutual aid, and here was/ is a huge part of that. Thank you. #Disability

I used to be a book buyer. My job was, quite literally, to read. I volunteered as a reading tutor at a local high school. Reading was my whole life. The desire to canonize the written word as the ultimate form of knowledge keeping & information sharing needs to be examined.

Just jumping into the reading as privilege discourse to remind everyone that rigid adherence to the written word is in the top ten favourites of white (bean) soup. Tread lightly.

1. Here are my thoughts on the pros and cons of staying on this platform. Pro: We were here long before Musk took it over. We built this. Con: He has used our creation to help elect a far-right autocrat, and build his own grim political career. 🧵

Phew. More fireworks. I was worried they'd run out.

Cochrane is stubbornly refusing to withdraw the 2019 review recommending exercise therapy for ME/CFS despite being supplied with ample evidence that it doesn't work and causes harm for #pwME with post exertional malaise. Please sign the petition: chng.it/zTZ7vX9Czd

Anyone know anything about sulodexide for treating endothelial dysfunction? It’s only available in Italy, where it’s over the counter.

I had to go at getting rid of a (maybe) cluster headache with taurine the other day. Took 2g and it cleared it for a couple of hours. It came back later in the evening though. (I'm not completely certain what type of headache I'm getting yet.) #ClusterBusters #headache
