We are calling for tighter restrictions on fireworks following the death of Roxie, our endangered red panda kit, on bonfire night. Our expert vet team believe it's likely that three-month-old Roxie died due to stress caused by fireworks in the local area.

That just shows that the FOI system currently in place does not work. A requester has to go through 2 stages before they could even appeal to the SIC. Are the people handling those responses & reviews just incompetent or are they deliberately trying to withhold information?

Unhappy with a public authority FOI response? Thinking about making an appeal? You’re not alone! We received nearly 600 appeals last year, with 70% of decisions finding wholly or partly in the requester’s favour - so appealing can make a real difference… Got a question? Get…

''Maintaining' the community voice...!?! Really? Numerous examples of Scottish Government providing 'Consent' for wind farm developments across Scotland where the 'community voice' has largely been ignored... Plus the 'community voice' have to self-fund 2 even attempt 2B heard

This is a joint consultation (💪) on a more efficient process to handle large Scottish projects, maintaining the community voice.  Not controversial to say it currently takes too long to make decisions about large scale electricity infrastructure (eg power lines and windfarms).

It was 10 years ago today that Keith Brown, then Minister for Transport, launched the procurement process for two new ferries for the Clyde and Hebrides network. Neither ferry has yet been delivered to CalMac. The most recent delay was announced on Friday.

🔴Keir Starmer, Labour and Nature... 🙏How it started... 🔻How it's going...

It's unsettling to hear @Keir_Starmer's deregulation plans today. Done wrong, this will mean fewer protections for nature when it urgently needs more. We support growth, we support the energy transition, but not at the expense of the natural world.
