Act NOW to ensure a future where there is a #HomeForUsAll #B329LeadershipChallenge #22JGroup3 #B329
Week 17: Storytelling can be a powerful tool for #leadership by capturing an audience and mobilising them for action. Perhaps this tool can be used when attempting to introduce change to followers so that they are more likely to respond positively. #B329
Week 16: Democratic practice requires collaboration and collective decisions to ensure fairness and consideration of all sides. I aspire to display democratic #leadership within both my personal and professional decisions #B329
Week 15: Resistance is fluid, it can be overt or covert and everything in between. As a #leader it is therefore important to understand these forces of power and resistance to be able to identify issues when they arise #B329
Week 14: You can not begin to solve a problem until you have first identified the resources you have to address that problem and the urgency at which it should be solved. Going forward, I'll take time to pause and review an issue before desperately trying to fix it #B329
Week 12: A positive-sum approach to #leadership enables a win/win scenario for all involved. It therefore should be a fundamental consideration when making leadership decisions. #B329
Week 11: As the cost of living presents challenges to us all, it's important for us as leaders to respond to this change and brace for conflict. How we respond to this can either ease or intensify turbulence in the workplace. #B329
Week 10: Followers shape organisations, therefore follower centred #leadership is integral to a successful business. I aspire to learn from my followers and respect their views when making leadership decisions. #B329
Week 9: Collaborative leadership seeks to include both leaders and followers in decisions and encourages openness and trust. I aspire to always be a collaborative leader where possible. #B329
Week 8: The most important thing I've learnt this week is that inclusivity does not occur until we fully embrace the diversity of the workplace. Only then can we achieve boundaryless leadership. #B329
Week 7: I discovered my identity is 'conscientious'. I'd agree with this and hope that others perceive my identity to be the same. #OUB329
Week 5: When using written forms of communication, it's important to consider your audience and how it will be interpreted. As a leader, this is essential to make sure that any written correspondence you present is suitable for your followers. #OUB39
Week 4: Leaders are the main architects of culture. As a leader, it's important to be a trailblazer for the core beliefs and values of your organisation in order to nourish a positive culture. #OUB329
Week 3: With our current turbulent economic climate and governance in the UK, I can't help but wonder if a populist transition is on the horizon. Will we perhaps shadow the Syriza movement in Greece? #OUB329
Week 2: Precarity is, alarmingly so, a rising strain within society. As a leader, it's more important than ever to understand not just who your followers are, but HOW your followers are. #OUB329
Week 1: I have learnt that adaptive leadership is paramount in trying times to empower and awaken your followers. It has inspired me to keep open minded and take responsibility in an ever changing environment. #OUB329
