!!!!

Our cities aren’t “crowded” or “full,” they’ve just dedicated half their space to car storage.

Just putting here for #OlympiaWA. (Past) Time to undo the one ways couplets…

Thank you Ryan for the point by point! 💓 We’ve been doing advocacy work around this for weeks and though I wish the support had been there for the PC’s recommendation, I appreciate Council member Madrone’s efforts.

Remember this picture every single time you hear someone in your city say "we're not Amsterdam." This was #Amsterdam in the 1970s, via @fietsprofessor The cities we admire made better choices regarding cars, and are still making them today. Better choices instead of excuses.

Big thanks to the @Parking_Reform Network and @FuturewiseWA for supporting #olympiaWA's efforts to eliminate parking minimums for residential development. #ClimateAction #HousingCrisis

Olympia folks: Council needs to hear that you support Parking maximums ASAP! Being considered at their Tues, May 16 meeting. nytimes.com/2023/05/10/boo…

Come on, Olympia! Lead the way.

Well, this is interesting. A US Federal Bill may be introduced that would essentially ban municipal parking minimums across the entire United States. The Bill would be called the “Homes for People Not Cars Act of 2023.” Via ⁦@reasonreason.com/2023/05/08/fed…

🎉

@FuturewiseWA staff and board are in the Tri-Cities with HB 1181 bill sponsor @davinaduerr to attend the bill signing with @GovInslee! Thank a million times over to our dedicated supporters who have worked for three years to pass this bill. Today we celebrate! 🥳🥳🥳

Go #olympiaWA go. We can eliminate parking minimums!

Excess parking is a financial drain on cities. Housing is the heart of cities.
