Can’t wait to one day be a registered nurse and have my own students. You bet I’ll be introducing myself to ever student I come across or am lucky to teach/work with. I never want a student to be stood in the corner practically begging for someone to acknowledge them on placement

There are staff who work in the quiet corners of the NHS. You hardly see them. They are not in meetings or invited to events. They’re not in the communication news. You don’t know they exist. Who are they? - Laundry staff - Mortuary staff - Health records staff Shine a light

Psilocybin, a psychedelic substance found in magic mushrooms, can be taken once to help with depressive symptoms, study shows. The treatment, when combined with psychological support in patients who had not responded to other treatments, has a "significant impact."

So publicly funded Oxford University appear to have discovered a cancer vaccine, which is quickly bought out by private concerns who slap a patent on it. Is this country fucking mad? How in God's name can that be justified?

In dedication to 8 year old me who was mocked for struggling in school and told I had unrealistic expectations of going further with my education. Never let that stop you. Prove them all wrong. I did💗

You don't need to be crying all the time to be depressed You don't need to be underweight to have an eating disorder You don't need to be in hospital to be suicidal You don't have to be washing your hands all the time to have OCD Mental illness looks different on everybody!

“He loved his family so much” but he murdered his wife and child. Never put male violence and love in the same sentence.

Heaven forbid that calling out the sexual assault of girls and rape culture in our schools might wreck the lives of school boys. Cry me a river.

Palliative care in action…ICU consultant asks if I can go to ED Resus now to jointly assess someone who has just been referred to him. As we arrive ED Team say ‘perfect combination… just what we need right now… you should always work like this’ #paliativecare

IMHO dying is not as bad as you think. Powerful piece from Doctor Kathryn Mannix on why we need to talk about death.

Brain tumours cause more deaths in children than leukaemia, more deaths in men under 45 than prostate cancer & more than breast cancer in women under 35. They are indiscriminate & devastating & we desperately need a cure. Alan, I’m so very sorry ❤️ @ourbrainbank @BrainTumourOrg

Can I ask you to RT this sad video, again, to raise awareness and hopefully money for @BrainTumourOrg 88,000 currently have a Brian Tumour diagnosis in the UK. 1% of the national cancer spend yet the biggest cancer killer in under 40's #Glioblastoma #cancer #braintumour #anneka❤️

This is Paediatric Palliative Care Last year, N had an increase in seizures (she has complex and atypical seizures). Midazolam was needed. N hates the taste of it and was unimpressed. Her doctors negotiated with her and they settled on a Freddo for each dose of Midazolam. 1/3
