The past few weeks it seems like I just can't keep up. And I've taught these classes before! The emails, the questions, the duties, the marking, the contacting home, contacting the office, updating my GC, running to the photo copier, mid term reports. Anyone else? 😩 #OntEd
So much of this ends up happening during personal time, because even the insufficient time that’s allotted to it during the day is often taken up by other demands.

Most people would be shocked at how under-resourced schools are. It blew my mind when I changed careers and suddenly worked in a place that had full staffing and supplies and solutions to every problem. Public schools are held together by the tape teachers brought in from home.
All I'm saying is, I wish that people (politicians, the media, the general public) were as worked up about underfunded schools, classes being cancelled due to lack of a teacher, school repairs, mental health supports, and clean air, as they are about cellphones. 🤷🏿♂️ #OntEd
The temp in a Brampton elementary school this morning – at 7:33 a.m. – well before the start of the day. 28.2C w a relative humidity of 69%. Feels like *31C*. Unsafe & irresponsible. Neither learning nor working can happen effectively in these conditions. #ETFO #OntEd #OnLab
Hearing folks saying that putting AC in schools for a few hot weeks isn't worth it & students should just suffer. Reminder that @fordnation just shut down the legislature for 19 weeks of summer break & they have AC at Queen's Park. In fact, they have very clean & cool air there.
This morning, I visited a local high school to speak to Grade 10 students. I knew rain was in the forecast, so I was prepared with my umbrella as I walked to the school. What I was not prepared for, was the rain INSIDE the school. Here’s what I saw ⤵️
