Just think of all the starch in the collars of the white men who made STIFFNESS a supposed academic virtue.

Had the privilege of seeing @JessedHagopian speak this week @impacthubbalt about his new book Teaching for Black Lives and the violence and trauma schools impart on our Black students. Thanks Teachers' Democracy Project!

White supremacy is so terrifying racist that it manages to racialize entire religions in a white/other binary. Burning synagogues, mosques, churches, homes, people. It seeks to justify itself by dehumanizing others and preserves itself by always presenting attacks as a "shock"

Learning so much at the World History and Literature Initiative about #ResistanceandRebellion in global history and how to teach it!

I'm not particularly twitter-savvy, but I'm sure there's ways to find and form those communities here - like ppl to help get the word out

Maybe hosting an aspiring teachers chat is in your future? While I'm older, I'm still a uni student, and an aspiring teacher!
