The amazing school counseling office student aides @OMHS_Eagles helped organize bags of canned goods for their fellow classmates to take home during the break. Appreciate them so much!

Speechless. Kids fleeing violence & unfathomable trauma, often on their own, are now being subjected to what can only describe as a bait & switch. This policy stomps on the ideals of confidentiality & rips down all trust. It needs to end immediately. npr.org/2020/02/18/806…

Excited to work w/ #OMHS Latino students as they express why they’re proud of their heritage & engage w/ Ss & teachers to share what they wish others knew about them. I’ll start. Proud to be #colombiano & love that I found this image in our lobby today.👇🇨🇴#HispanicHeritageMonth

Started this journey a few years ago and officially started at my new home today. Appreciate all the love, support, encouragement, and guidance I’ve received from all of you along the way.

Saw this quote posted on the last day of school. Jimmy V’s speech still gets me. Inspiring us all until the very end. #NeverGiveUp

A couple of students from @TypeZTeacher’s class decided to put their virtues into action today. They chipped in to help Mr. Bill because he cleans up the cafeteria everyday for them so they want to do their part to help out. #Cooperation #Helpfulness #Excellence

I had a 3rd grader tell me that if he discovered a new planet he would name it after me. Planet Montgomery. Not sure I can handle this responsibility. 😂

A Message from Alex Trebek:

“Self-control is an incomplete goal, because it’s ultimately about not acting—something teachers might find desirable in children, but not the only key to success in life. Self-regulation, on the other hand, is about taking action.”

Children with good self-regulation are aware, flexible, and creative—and, importantly, they are empowered to reason for themselves. buff.ly/2ExMcZ7
