A passed a student in the hall yesterday who took College & Careers & she said the Job Shadow was the best part of HS so far! So glad that the Huntley & Chicagoland community supports my students in these efforts to give them a snapshot of a "Day in the Life of".

Job Shadows are going great. Today a student got to shadow a lawyer at a courthouse! Yesterday a student was able to shadow a Public Relations person at a company in Algonquin. So happy we have such a supportive community in Huntley, LITH & Algonquin!

Big THANK YOU to @huntleyhs parents who are helping my students find job shadows. So far, students will be shadowing an attorney, actuary, fireman, teacher, marketing manager, & forensic supervisor.

Teaching the same lesson to 30 students with different needs would be similar to a doctor trying to help 30 patients with different needs at the same time with the same treatment. We need more adults, and we need more planning time to do what is needed in classrooms.
