TPACK is crucial for 21st Century teaching. However, we need to ensure that we are embedding the technology in a way that is authentic and potentially transformational. That is why I intend to use ICTs in my #EDUC4750 unit with a focus on the SAMR model. #UoNTeach

Love this different visual for looking at TPACK. TPACK is a great model to ensure Teachers are integrating ICT pedagogical activities authentically and not just using ICT an add on. #UoNTeach and #EDUC4750 #SDG14

Another great resource to plan a school vegetable garden. However, I am still looking for one that can help plan for a vertical garden. Any ideas my fellow #EDUC4750 #UoNTeach students? Thank you @MissMBeer for sharing. #SDG2 @bill3303351 @JaydenGodwin99 @R607497 @miss_BCarter

"Of all the localisation steps communities can take, rebuilding the local food system is perhaps the most important. Food is something everyone, everywhere, needs, which means that even small shifts in our food systems can have far-reaching benefits". #SDG2 #UoNTeach #EDUC4750

This Behind The News segment on food waste in Australia is 7 years old but still holds true. A great ICT resource for a lesson on #SDG2, but a sad commentary on Australia's efforts to prevent food waste and end hunger and malnutrition. #UoNTeach #EDUC4750 abcmedia.akamaized.net/btn/Classroom/…

We are rather privileged in Australia and issues such as malnutrition seem impossible in a country with an abundance of food. However, it affects 10-30% of the population, especially aged care residents #SDG2. How can our schools help? #UoNTeach #EDUC4750 nutricia.com.au/fortisip/nutri…

Any #EDUC4750 students planning to teach about food scraps and food waste should give this site a look over. #SDG2 #UoNTeach kesab.asn.au/fsc/schools/te…

School gardens and the canteen. Making sure all students can access cheap, if not free, healthy food. #SDG2 healthy-kids.com.au/school-canteen… Looking for funding for your school? Scroll down to the bottom. #EDUC4750 #UoNTeach

I have been looking for an engaging way for students to plan out a school garden and this resource fits my needs perfectly. Thankyou @niamhformby for sharing it. #EDUC4750 #UoNTeach education.minecraft.net/en-us/lessons/…

What an awesome ICT resource! @PlayCraftLearn Students can plan and build a garden bed using technology, whilst touching on mathematics skills such as measuring length, height, width and area. hhttps://education.minecraft.net/en-us/lessons/building-a-garden-bed

Thankyou @BellaWightman for sharing this. This text would be excellent for a literacy unit for younger students, and a great way to approach sustainable agriculture in a school. #EDUC4750 #UoNTeach #SDGs

A wonderful text to explore with all ages about growing our own food, reducing waste and creating community. I will be using this text as we look at students agency in creating a sustainable future #SDG2 #UoNTeach #educ4750 m.youtube.com/watch?v=hMi68M…

Up to 10% of global greenhouse gases come from food waste, more than flying emissions, plastic production, and oil extraction, combined. For more facts, check the link below. A great way to get students interested to explore the #SDGs #UoNTeach #EDUC4750 ozharvest.org/food-waste-fac…

University of Newcastle are working towards the #SDGs sustainable development goals. For #SDG2 zero hunger, they are providing food hampers for students who require them and have for a long time had a community garden on campus. @Uni_Newcastle #UoNTeach #EDUC4750

Regrowing your vegetable scraps. A great way to turn food scraps/waste into future meals and reduce hunger. #SDG2 #EDUC4750 #UoNTeach Can this be done with any native Australian vegetables? 🤔ruralsprout.com/regrow-vegetab…

Is this the answer to #SDG2 zero hunger in metropolitan schools and the greater community? #UoNTeach #EDUC4750 What other ways can small schools produce fresh food?

Each school deserve to have a modern vertical garden where students are taught how to grow crops as a mandatory excersise to all. Food grown in this gardens should be given to the students either by cooked food or fresh to go home with for their healthy eating. #greeninnovation
