It's almost time. My new book, "Fools on the Hill: The Hooligans, Saboteurs, Conspiracy Theorists, and Dunces Who Burned Down the House," is out 9/24. Please pre-order! hachettebookgroup.com/titles/dana-mi…

Trump is already Making America Gape Again. His early appointments are horrifying, but they also indicate his administration will be just as bumbling as it was last time. My latest column. washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/…

Who are we, America? This time, no one can claim to have been fooled by Trump or unaware of what he will do. By our votes, or by failing to cast our votes, we are stating unequivocally who we are as a people. My final column of the election. wapo.st/3YxRs6G

The Harris field operation in the swing states dwarfs Trump's. If the election is as tight as polls indicate, that could be the difference. My latest column. wapo.st/3YJIlBe

I know many of you will roll your eyes at this, but that's OK; I wouldn't be in this field if I was afraid of being dunked on every now and then. When I first came to The Washington Post in 2017, I was extremely wary it would be too establishment for me. Too corporate. Too…

NEW - Some billionaires who Trump targeted are now hedging their bets, as the former president vows retribution against enemies if elected Bezos blocks WaPo endorsement. Zuckerberg promises neutrality. Buffett stays out. Google chief reportedly calls Trump to praise McDonalds…

I signed the Post columnists' letter of protest about the non-endorsement decision, and yet I agree with @Milbank about why I'm not quitting the Post and why I hope readers won't either. Bottom line: It's still doing important, independent journalism. washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/…

Here’s why I’m not quitting the Washington Post — and why I hope you don’t, either. With a (hopefully) paywall-evading link for those who canceled their subscriptions. wapo.st/3AfXD7m

Our current owner has emblazoned “Democracy Dies in Darkness” on the front page of every edition of The Washington Post. With this decision, those words now stand as an indictment of ourselves. washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/…

The Washington Post's decision not to endorse in the presidential race is "an abandonment of the fundamental editorial convictions of the newspaper that we love." A statement from me and other longtime Post columnists: washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/…

Donald Trump’s hysterical closing argument: Save the cows! My latest column, on the prophesies of doom coming from the Oracle at Mar-a-Lago -- who made identical apocalyptic claims in 2020 about Joe Biden. wapo.st/4dXA9BD

I’d like to thank the Superintendent of the GWMP @NPSGWMP for stopping the cutting of trees to create vistas for drivers on the Parkway. While we recognize the stoppage is not permanent, it at least creates the opportunity for resolving policy disagreements

It's disturbing to hear that the @NPSGWMP branch of @NatlParkService is cutting down acres of oak, hickory and other native trees along the GW Parkway in Arlington, Va. in the name of improving "vistas" -- while leaving some invasive trees standing.

Here's photographic evidence of the destruction the @NPSGWMP division of the @NatlParkService has done to native trees along the George Washington Parkway.

Here is documentation from this weekend of the destruction that is underway. Inexplicably, the NPS also calls this part of Arlington "one of the most biodiverse places in the country" -- as it is part of the Potomac Gorge. So they are destroying that which is among the best.
