Candidate for Dublin North West, Rory Hearne calling out the appalling lack of disability service in the area.

Waiting lists for Children’s Disability Network Teams on Dublin’s northside are shameful - 2,677 children waiting for their first contact -huge staff vacancy - Ballymun vacancy 19% while Finglas is a staggering 37% A full Minister for Disability is key for @SocDems in Government

Social Democrats have strong policies on Climate Action and Biodiversity

Climate change is the biggest threat we are facing. But, some politicians would have you believe that climate action is a bigger threat. A vote for the Soc Dems is a vote for strong climate action.

The @SocDems today launched our disability policy. Disabled people face some of the greatest barriers to full participation in Irish society. Yet there is no political will at Govt level to provide them with the supports and services they deserve. socialdemocrats.ie/social-democra…

By way of comparison, the government allocated €7.9 million for domestic, sexual and gender-based violence initiatives. Disgusting level of prioritisation.

Horse and Greyhound Fund to rise to €99.1m, a 4.3% increase, up from €95m last year. Will be split €79.3m horseracing, €19.8m greyhounds. Far from unexpected, but a hefty increase after a year in which horseracing has reeled with the Shannonside Foods abbatoir scandal

Our colleague and treasurer of the SocDems passed away unexpectedly. He was a true gentleman with a huge heart who enriched the lives of everyone around him. Rest in peace you lovely soul 😢.

Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of our cherished friend and colleague Kodzo Selormey, who passed away yesterday following a short illness. Kodzo was treasurer of the @SocDems and a longstanding, valued member of the party. May he rest in peace.

Following the @SocDems motion this week, the Govt has committed to carrying out a review into the taxi licencing system. People deserve to know they're being brought home by somebody who isn't charged with or on trial for sexual offences. This review must not be delayed.

We have all seen the incredible work that Roisin has done over the years, but what really sticks with me are the countless stories I hear from the community. Roisin has helped so many people behind the scenes; making significant changes to people's lives, quietly, with no fuss.
