Sick of abuse, assault and homelessness in Dublin, a Palestinian man who’d sought asylum here wants to go home. But when he went to the International Organisation for Migration, they said they wouldn’t help him get there because his home is too dangerous dublininquirer.com/2024/08/28/sic…

Hello, I'm a journalist with @DublinInquirer I'm looking to talk to anyone who had their rent increased, by additional charges, such as charges for parking or other items, that were originally included in the rent. Please get in touch at lneylon@dublininquirer.com

Again, the difference in framing is intentional. Compare a 2022 NYT headline about Russia starving Ukrainians to two recent headlines about Israel starving Palestinians in Gaza.

The @VirginMediaNews crew at Crooksling at least have not forgotten what common decency is. They took as many people as they could fit away from Crooksling in their cars. Good on them. They got a load of harassment and abuse for their trouble from the fascist creeps.

This is the criteria for the "cost rental" in Citywest. I've been a primary school teacher for 10 years; my net income is €36,400. I don't earn enough to apply for this. Your gross income would need to be around €68k to qualify for 1 bed. Who are these aimed at? Tech workers?

Interesting question here. Is there any legal instrument Travellers can use to resist assimilation into mainstream housing?

In Finglas West, Travellers worry future redevelopment could split families and undermine their way of life. “They are trying to get rid of the Travellers and put them in settled houses, “ says Kathleen Keenan. “If we integrate, our culture will be gone.” dublininquirer.com/2024/01/10/in-…
