My account on 🐘 is not reachable and the server has been abandoned. Heads up to those who try to contact me on there. I think that the chances of account recovery are very very low.

The server I was using on 🐘 seems to be inactive. It has been for a while. I can't log in to my account, and I have gotten no answer from the 🐘team when I emailed them. Has this happened to anyone?

A great keynote by @lakens at #MetaRep2024 about how we should pay careful attention to applying good research practices as metascience researchers - a nice future oriented outlook on the field 👏🏼

Nice to see so many researchers excited about living meta-analyses at #metarep2024!

Thinking about Big Team Science, Multilab Project management? Check out this preprint ⬇️ Practical guidance and points for consieration based on lessons learned. A great resource resulting from fab team work! 🙏🏼

Preprint alert! 🚨 "The Advantage of Big Team Science: Lessons Learned from Cognitive Science." osf.io/preprints/osf/… Our heart beats for BTS. It can improve science by addressing issues like low statistical power and the lack of diversity in past research.

Day 1 A fantastic workshop by @cassieannshort and Daniel Kristanto on Multiverse analysis. #MetaRep2024

Attending #MetaRep2024 in Munich. Great organisation, wonderful location, an anbsolutely beautiful fall season. Went for a run this afternoon and I can't get enough! (Yes, I saw a person surfing on the river 🙉)

Attending the @DataScienceDK conference next week? Look out for our workshop on reproducibility! We collected short recordings from researchers in different disciplines who tell us about their use of open and reproducible practices. Watch them here: youtube.com/playlist?list=…

Open letter from a group of sleuths re problems with editors/papers at Scientific Reports deevybee.blogspot.com/2024/10/an-ope… They've published 23K papers in 2024 with APC of £2090, raising £48 million from this journal alone, so should be able to put resource into cleaning this up.

A recent pattern at top social science journals is preoccupying. Multiple comments have recently been (desk-)rejected, with the editors simply asking the original authors to release a short (positive) corrigendum. A 🧵 with a major (podcast) announcement at the end.

Now recruiting to work with me at @karolinskainst : A postdoc for a fully funded 2-year position in an EU project to analyse how intellectual property rights can support open science. Please share! ki.varbi.com/what:job/jobID…

Anyone knows a *good* systematic review/meta-analysis that is theory-driven or aims to falsify a theory/model? In psychology preferably. #methods #metaanalysis
