Yeah sex is cool, but have you tried facultatively switching back and forth between sex and parthenogenesis to take advantage of genetic recombination in stressful situations while not wasting your reproductive output on dead-end males when conditions are good? #daphnia

Does anyone have recommendations for a basic Chinese language R tutorial? I have some ESL students who are struggling a bit, and I think it might help.

Winter is the FASTEST warming season for much of the U.S. Across 235 cities, the season has warmed ~4ยฐF since 1970 In our warming world the coldest days arenโ€™t as cold, & cold snaps are shrinking See how climate change is warming winter where you live โžก๏ธ climatecentral.org/climate-matterโ€ฆ

Thank you to @SickWaterFlea and his PhD student @niamhasaurus for showing me around Trinity College Dublin and generally being excellent hosts! Great conversations about Daphnia disease and temperature.

I kinda want to feed Chesson 2000 into this and see how it goes.

Google's NotebookLM can turn any research paper into an engaging podcast. This can help you simplify complex topics in a matter of minutes. Best part: NotebookLM is totally free. Here's how to do it:

Tried to figure out what the treatments are for the default PlantGrowth data set in R, managed to download a bootleg PDF of the 1983 stats textbook they came from, and.... Nope, no biology, just "Treatment A" and "Treatment B". ๐Ÿ˜ญ At least iris is real.
