I am so flattered and honored that @MsMagazine just published my plight and perspective during this plague, which is also my homage to Judy Brady Syfers #Iwantawife msmagazine.com/2020/04/16/i-d… Let’s not still be having this conversation 50 years from now, too! Deal?

I hope AI bites them in the butt and comes back with reports that there TONS of basic regulations that are missing that need to be ADDED instead of cut and that our government is under employed for the work required.

3️⃣ Gut federal agencies by finding "the minimum number of employees" needed to function after gutting regulations. Think Musk’s 80% staff cuts at X but scaled up to the entire government.

Marc Elias’ take on Donald Trump: “Donald Trump is not Hitler. He is not Stalin. His vision of America is neither pre-war Germany nor the post-war Soviet Union. The United States is not at risk of falling into totalitarianism. The United States has its own history and culture.…

The latest US literacy stats have just dropped and they are every bit as grim as you might imagine. "Approximately 50% of Americans read so poorly that they are unable to perform simple tasks such as reading prescription drug labels"

5/ ...and for being able to see who we really are. White liberals' primary problem is they still have too much faith in the inherent goodness of the system. Black folk know better and are psychologically healthier for it...

This is a quote from Little Women (2019) said by Meg March. Meg March may have been a mother married to a poor tutor but she was also an abolitionist and believed in the power of free public education. Hope this helps!

May she drink her wine in peace, and I thank you, too, Madam Vice President.

I remember that.

On this day in 1961 Brian Epstein watched the Beatles at the cavern for the first time✨ Brian had heard about the Beatles through album requests at NEMS, and went to the lunch time session at the cavern to see what all the fuss was about👀 The rest, as they say, is history!🌟

Learn something new every day…what a picture this draws.

Two of the core tenants of white supremacy (and I think @JohnathanPerk has written about this sorry if it’s a misattribution) are INDIVIDUALISM & INNOCENCE & they are BOTH used to AVOID ACCOUNTABILITY. WP Please think on that the next time you have these as knee jerk responses

They were more qualified than any man who ever ran for president, But white women chose to perpetuate white patriarchy/supremacy.

A second Woman's March at the beginning of another Trump administration is beyond ridiculous to the point of being insulting.

Don’t blame them one bit. Until we fix the racism and sexism and ableism in this country, every other cause is on a false foundation anyway.

I don’t think POC & white women realize how much the results of this election has likely radicalized many black people against them to the point where we may not lift a finger in a generation to support them, theirs & their causes.

Can I say something controversial? I don't think this is the whole picture. I think many Americans don't realize how readily white women in non-liberal areas (so, most of the country) accept subjugation.

White women overwhelmingly vote against their own interests as women because their commitment to racism supersedes anything else.

everyone’s tweeting “this is all because the democrats XYZ” which yes is true, but i really don’t think it can be overstated how much people just hate women. like more than anything else that is just the truth that looms undeniably large

And what about all those food deregulations? Buckle TF up, because we’ve got bird flu, listeria, salmonella and their friends coming down the pike faster than a MF.

Word of the day is ‘recrudescence’ (17th century): the return of something terrible after a time of reprieve.

Just seems appropriate today.
