On Tuesday 08/03/22 I announced in the Council Chamber at budget we have committed to paying the Living Wage Foundation rate for our towns care workers. Its not enough to just "Clap for our Carers", we need to value them where it counts, and that's in their pay packets!

Tonight we are lighting The Blackpool Tower in white and pink as a visible show of support for the families of those affected by this terrible tragedy and for the people of Southport who are comforting them 🤍🩷 With love and deepest sympathy from Blackpool x @TheBplTower

This IMAX is going to be another absolutely amazing attraction for Blackpool. Official opening this Thursday!!!

We can't wait for this! Work is well underway on Backlot Cinema, Blackpool’s new cinema complex in the heart of the town centre. The new multi-screen development will feature one of the largest IMAX screens in the country.

Looks like a 15 year old lad has stabbed a girl with a machete because she broke up with him, and people wonder why amplifying people like Andrew Tate is so problematic

Just great to see Gtr Manchester take control of their Buses. In Blackpool we own @BPL_Transport with its integrated Bus/Tram network. It’s added a great deal to our local economy, connecting BPool the Fylde Coast and now even Preston+it’s a local great employer!@AndyBurnhamGM

A momentous day for the #BeeNetwork as Greater Manchester’s first franchised bus services in almost 40 years hit the road! 🐝
