Wonderful organization and people!

Our mission to protect Kenya’s wildlife goes beyond elephants 🐘! Recently rescued orphans, Choke and Izera - a kudu and eland - have found safe haven at our Kaluku Neonate Unit, where they are benefitting from the same dedicated care as our elephant orphans. From the tiniest…

Oh shit, I thought black people can’t be racist. (please tag your liberal friends!)

Can anyone tell me why my tweet has elicited likes from porn stars who then direct me to their porn sites? Really! 🤯

Those crossed legs are too cute!❤️

Africans, Elephant Lives Matter. Stop eating them because you can’t govern a damn thing. These creatures didn’t do anything to you.

Dear Gauteng and other education dept, instead of concern about perceived racism at schools, why are you not concerned about this? This is a major problem in many, esp black schools. Also young children walk to schools along regional roads with heavy traffic!

Wonderful work!

The moment ground teams move in to help a snared giraffe! This is what happened just before: Following a call from the team at Wildlife Works, a KWS vet had taken to the skies to dart the patient from the air. As soon as the giraffe begins to show signs of sedation, ground…

There are few issues that create as much anger among animal lovers as the highly unethical live export industry They endure overcrowding, temperature extremes, huge pain & distress – only to face what is often an inhumane death Pls share widely #BanLiveExports Awareness Day @ciwf

We know that elephants never forget a face. They form strong, individualised bonds that last a lifetime. Just look at the fuss made when Yatta arrived after a long absence - Kinna couldn’t contain her excitement! These girls have known each other since 1999, when they were both…

In case you’re wondering, hose wars are still going strong. Natibu (right) is the reigning Kaluku champion, but Toto gives him a run for his money! In fact, it may be Toto who gets the last laugh - watch to the end & you’ll see how he cleverly sabotages the hose. Natibu & Toto…

It’s Coconut Friday! After we slather the orphans in coconut oil, which conditions their skin, the spa session concludes with a dust bath which shields them from biting insects. Treats like this keep the babies healthy & relaxed, so they can focus on what’s important: recovery.

Olomunyak hasn’t quite mastered the headstand, but it’s not for lack of trying! ‘Ollo,’ as we call him, is a bit of an acrobat & the newest addition to our foster program. Despite all that he’s been through, he is an incredibly lucky elephant. Meet him: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/orphans/olomun…

Can you guess the identify of our baby in blue? Here’s a few clues… 1. It’s rare to see her without her many chaperones. 2. She’s the smallest (& the sweetest) baby at the Nursery. 3. She’s 19 months old & she’s named after the forest from where she was rescued.

SA Elections 2024.There's a comedy on at the moment on ENCA. A woman from some obscure party dressed in combat is claiming that they want the land back which was taken from kings and queens in 1913! I don't know how the interviewer is keeping a straight face.

Even Kerrio couldn't resist a dubious tail grab to entice Shujaa to play (he's no stranger to scallywag behaviour himself!). He makes his displeasure known & then all is forgiven & back to being friends❤️. The orphans set a wonderful example when it comes to conflict resolution!
