It's a total misnomer No one is economically inactive. Economies need consumers as well as manufacturers and service providers. But it's time economies were fashioned to work for good of people Not people work for the good of economies
Who they describe as economically inactive: Disabled people who spend money back into the economy on food, bills, carers, services, public transport, interests, streaming services, important subscriptions But are just unable to work due to their conditions
‘Economically inactive’ defines people by what they are not, reducing status. So let me tell you what economically inactive folk are: - Carers, doing most of the unpaid physical and emotional labour. - Volunteers, giving us all a safety net. - Taxpayers, feeding local economies.
Might wanna stop sending arms too. Just a thought.
