The 24–25 school year has begun! I am reflecting on the first week with staff and students this morning. I have the best job! Working alongside of staff, students and families each day is an honor! All doing what they can to help students grow. My One Word this year is Honor !
Heart breaking! I applaud these amazing 6 young adults for sharing their story and stating we need change in our country with gun control. I hope those who can help make a change see and hear this segment on GMA. I hear them and 100% agree.

Last night kicked off the Art Show at the Dole ! Their art pieces are amazing ! I am super proud of the students and Mrs. Magel ! We are West !!
It is not the spring weather I want, but I did step outside with my coffee this morning to look at this beautiful sky! Found my self enjoying the brisk air and took some deep breaths. Felt great!
West had a great day viewing the eclipse today! The kids were in awe and had great questions that led to great conversations. Thank you to our WPO for providing our glasses !

I love Principal Read Aloud time each month! Today was Kindergarten and they were great listeners. They noticed both books were about Friendship ! 3rd grade is at the edge of their seats with No Talking !!
Miss Jaconetti was awarded the Elevate Award this morning! It was an honor to present it to her! So many colleagues stopped by to join in the celebration. I look at this picture and smile ear to ear ! I am one lucky principal to work along side this staff ! West is Best !
Wrapped up last week with Kindergarten and 3rd grade Principal Read Aloud ! Kindergarten listened so well and shared some predictions ! 3rd grade is getting excited to learn about the next part of the No Talking experiment!

May we all remember Principal Marburger and his ultimate sacrifice saving lives of his students. My ❤️ continues to break over the fact that school employees all of the US put their lives on the line everyday. Who would ever believe our incredible country could fall to such lows.…
