A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect for much of the Upper Ohio Valley. A combination of snow, sleet, and freezing rain is possible from Wednesday night through Friday morning. Please stay weather aware and remain tuned in to the forecast as we dial in snowfall and ice amounts.
With new snow today, this will be the snowiest January for Pittsburgh since 2011. So far we've had 18.6 this month; 2011 there was 24.1 inches. It is unlikely we will beat that number. The snowiest January on record for Pittsburgh was 1978: 40.2 inches!

Scattered snow showers north of Pittsburgh are expected to last through this evening. Be aware of blowing snow, winds will gust up to 35 mph.
