Back when I started my research group, I wanted to build @DrBreaky-esque computational models of the brain, but I knew I needed some help. In stepped a brilliant young physicist @eli_j_muller We were off to the races, but I had some extra funding - what to do?

Amazing paper and what an LC dreamteam. A couple of years ago, the LC was thought as homogeneus/conserved and currently is modular with intra/interspecific variability. Love how even 'simple' systems have way more complexity than formerly thought. Kudos to everyone involved.

I am delighted to share our new paper: "Diversity of ancestral brainstem noradrenergic neurons across species and multiple biological factors." This is the outcome of a collaboration of 20 laboratories spanning 9 countries. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Different brain regions encode different pain-related information, such as the expectation of pain or the intensity of a stimulus. But where and how is this information integrated? My paper has just been published in @ScienceAdvances! (1/13) science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
