Unions are calling for a total ban on employers monitoring their staff's social media accounts. However, businesses are pushing back, claiming that staff must be responsible for their conduct outside the workplace.

I reckon we could probably do away with the "put your mobiles on silent" spiel at events now. Save hundreds of hours globally!

Watched 'The Next 3 Days" again yesterday and couldn't help but be inspired by how much Russell Crowe's character had such unwavering faith in his wife's character.

I know that many employers don't actually realise they're breaching many Awards in the way their work is being performed. This might help.

It's great to see how the Australian HR Institute contributes at a macro level to our understanding of what's ahead in workplaces. An important voice. @AHRItweets

Employers expect annual base pay increases to average 3.7 per cent this year, a sharp increase in the previously predicted 2.6 per cent rise, increasing hopes that more workers will receive increases that outstrip inflation. @australian theaustralian.com.au/nation/bosses-…

Listen in tomorrow morning as I speak on @2CC Canberra at 8:05am AEDT to unpick where we're at with Right to Disconnect laws, set to hit businesses across Australia soon. #OzHR #HumanResources #WorkplaceRelations

If I had a dollar every time someone compared me to @kochie_online, I'd be able to buy a beer at Optus Stadium when @freodockers next beat @PAFC!

A lot to play out with the Federal Government's proposed 'right to disconnect' legislative changes. It was a pleasure to discuss it all with @Rebecca7Maddern this afternoon. #humanresources #workplacerelations

Workers may soon be able to tell their bosses to stop calling them after hours, with a new bill to be debated in parliament next week. @Rebecca7Maddern is joined live by human resource expert, Jonathon Woolfrey to explain the possible impact of the proposed legislation. #7NEWS

The best and most efficient way to address the critical teacher shortage is to keep those who are already there, doing a wonderful job day in, day out. A whopping 35% plan on leaving the profession at some stage, and many already have. #teachers #workforce

Tonight's segment on The Project, where I comment on the push for more annual leave. Check it out here. #HumanResources

Aussies are pretty lucky to receive four weeks paid annual leave a year, but that amount hasn't been changed since the 70s. Now there's a push to increase it to five weeks.
