I am thrilled to announce that I have received a “Disruptive Innovation Grant” that will enable us to study leukemia relapse and to systematically explore new molecular countermeasures. Extremely grateful to @oeaw and @FWF_at for this opportunity!

Congrats, Johannes Schmoellerl (@JoeySc1, postdoc with @johannes_zuber), on a "Disruptive Innovation Grant" for research on Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (#AML). 👉🏽imp.ac.at/news/article/f… @oeaw @FWFOpenAccess

Very excited to share our new paper just published in Nature Communications doi.org/10.1038/s41467…. This research lead by Eitan Kugler and Shreyas Madiwale , identified how to treat ERG-driven leukemias.

Check out our new paper! Together with @JessicaEbner92, colleagues of the @florian_grebien lab and our collaborators, we show that loss of the ABC-transporter ABCC1 or interfering with glutathione metabolism sensitizes leukemia cells to Venetoclax therapy. #leukemia research 👇

📢The results of my PhD project are just out in @NatureComms: We discovered that the ABC transporter ABCC1 (MRP1) is a critical modulator of the cellular activity of Venetoclax and other BH3-mimetic drugs in AML. 1/ #AML #Venetoclax #ABCtransporter nature.com/articles/s4146…

Since the discovery of CRISPR-Cas systems, people have wondered if a similar type of system exists in eukaryotes. Today, we report in @Nature the characterization of Fanzor, a eukaryotic RNA-guided system that can be reprogrammed for human genome editing. nature.com/articles/s4158…
